Patrick grew up in Oakville, Ontario, and attended Thomas A. Blakelock High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Canadian Army and commenced studies at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston. He graduated as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Artillery with a degree in Business Administration.
He served for more than 10 years in the Regular Force, and was posted to the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery in Shilo, Manitoba where he rose to the rank of Captain by age 25. He has served both domestically and abroad.
Upon completion of his contract with the Canadian Forces he transferred to the Canadian Army Reserve and pursued a financial services career. He is licensed to sell life insurance and living benefits and registered to sell mutual funds in Ontario.
He applies the same approach to financial security and long-term planning in his business as he did as a commissioned officer. Like the rest of the world, the financial world can be filled with surprise, danger and chaos.
“With respect to serving clients and leading troops, in the capacity of a financial security and investment representative or a combat arms officer, I feel one has made me better at the other.”
